Where you can go
Anywhere east of the Lions Gate Bridge. That covers the full length of Indian Arm, Deep Cove, Belcarra, Port Moody Arm and the city waterfront at Coal Harbour.
- Twin IslandsGranite, clear green water and the best swim stop on the arm. About 15 minutes from our dock at Cates Park.
- Granite FallsThe big waterfall near the head of the fjord. A full-day turnaround with a picnic at the park.
- Silver FallsThe hidden waterfall on the west shore. Slow down or you’ll miss it.
- Head of the armWigwam Inn, Spray of Pearls Falls and the Indian River estuary.
- Deep CoveIce cream, Honey Doughnuts and a slow lap past the paddleboarders.
- Port Moody and Rocky PointCalm, sheltered water and the ice cream line-up at Rocky Point Park.
- Coal HarbourStanley Park and the downtown skyline from the water. Best on a full day.

Things to do on the water
Bring your own rods and traps, or add paddleboards to your booking.
- Stand-up paddleboardingAdd up to two boards for $40 each and paddle the lagoon at Twin Islands.
- FishingSalmon in season. The pink run returns in summer 2027.
- CrabbingOpen in Indian Arm and east of Second Narrows. Drop a trap on the way out.
- Whale and wildlife watchingSeals on most trips, eagles overhead and the odd visiting orca.
- Bird watchingEagles, herons and kingfishers from a floating blind.
- The pink salmon runOdd-numbered summers. Fish jumping from Deep Cove to the Indian River.
Self taxi: skip the cab, drive the boat
Use the pontoon as your own water taxi. Pick it up at Cates Park, run to dinner in Deep Cove, the market at Lonsdale Quay or ice cream at Rocky Point, tie up and walk in. Your sober skipper drives everyone home.

How booking works
Reserve a date
Choose a 4-hour block at the time that suits you, a full day, or up to 9 days, from 1 March 2027. You pay nothing now. Before launch we email you to confirm and take a $300 deposit, which comes off your rental price.
Name your skipper
Your skipper must be 25 or older and hold a Pleasure Craft Operator Card. No card? They complete the Transport Canada rental boat checklist with us at the dock.
Check out at the dock
We walk the skipper through the boat, the safety gear and the chart. Allow 20 minutes, or 40 if your skipper is doing the checklist.
Bring the boat back on time
We top up the fuel and charge you what it took. We release your $1,000 card hold once the boat checks in clean.
The rules on board
- The skipper stays sober for the whole trip.
- No open alcohol on board. BC law only allows it on boats with sleeping, cooking and toilet facilities, and ours has none.
- There’s a lifejacket for every person. Kids wear theirs the whole time.
- Stay east of the Lions Gate Bridge and back at the dock by your booked return time.
- Slow down near paddlers, swimmers and docks. Deep Cove fills with them on summer afternoons.
